IPL25 – Chapter 4: Celebrating the Journey

Enduring Partnerships. 25 Years of Global Supply

Twenty-five years ago, we stepped off planes in unfamiliar cities, navigating crowded roads and unfamiliar factory floors, looking to build something lasting. Not just suppliers, but partners. Not just products, but potential.

At the time, globalisation was gaining traction. But for us, it was already in motion. To India and beyond, we ventured into new regions with a clear purpose: to build a manufacturing network capable of delivering quality at scale.

One of our earliest breaks was the opportunity to set up a factory in India for the now iconic Royal Salute velvet bag.

This marked the start of IPL Packaging growing into a business with global reach, built on strong relationships and shared standards.

Some of those same partners we shook hands with in the early 2000’s still walk the journey with us today. These clients still trust us with their brands. And, while the packaging designs have changed — more refined, more sustainable, more technically advanced — the relationships behind them haven’t.

Through shifting markets, supply chain disruptions, and everything in between, we’ve learnt that a global supply chain isn’t built overnight. It’s built through trust, mutual respect and hands-on collaboration.

Looking back at photos from that time – the team on the ground, the first production lines, the early samples – it’s clear how much has changed.  Those saplings our original team planted outside the factory have grown into sturdy trees, mirroring our own growth from those early days.

It’s also clear how much has stayed the same. The ambition that took root in the early days. The care. The belief in doing things properly and taking packaging personally.

These are the moments, places, and people that shaped us.

This is the journey we celebrate!

And the journey continues.
