IPL recently produced ‘Book One’ of an exclusive series of packaged whiskies by Laphroaig, paying special tribute to the legacy of one the distillery’s former owners.
The Ian Hunter Series is set to feature a rare and collectable range released in 15 Chapters. Book One is a 30-year-old single malt matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels and titled ‘Unique Character’ to reflect Hunter’s decision to introduce American oak casks to Laphroaig’s maturation regime.
Encased in a high-end PU leather-clad rigid board packing solution that simulates a hardback book, Book One is complete with an outer sleeve that features metalised plaque brand details, debossing and hot-foil stamping.
A book-style opening mechanism with printed simulated book pages sheaths the product itself, housed within an EVA fitment with a ribbon-pull to assist with extraction of the bottle
The use of high-end materials, the deep rich texture of the PU leather and the novel design simulation of a classic ‘book vault’ make this an especially eye-catching, special edition packaging solution.
The considered design allows for shelf readiness, making it easily stackable and lending it a distinctive, highly luxurious feel.
